Card That Falls Up [John Kennedy]

With the Card That Falls Up a spectator's card defies gravity and falls upward into your hand! This is undoubtedly one of the most practical and amazing “Rising Card” effects in all of magic. Not only does the chosen card rise completely out of the deck and travel through the air into your hand, but any deck of cards can be used. No setup is required, and you're completely clean at the conclusion! Here's what happens: Fan a deck and ask a spectator to touch the back of any card. Show it, then close the fan so that the selected card is somewhere in the center of the deck. Hold your other hand about a foot above the deck. Suddenly the chosen card falls upwards out of the pack and into your hand! The card and deck can be handed out because they are completely unprepared!!!

Double Whammy [John Kennedy]

A spectator shakes three colored dice inside a coffee cup, then peeks inside and announces the total. Next he memorizes the number on one of the dice, then inverts the cup on the table with the dice underneath. Up until now no one else has seen the dice. "You told me the total - do you think I can tell you the number you saw on the die?" The spectator ponders this question for a moment while you slowly place your hand on top of the inverted cup. Suddenly you lift your hand and one of the dice is seen resting on top of the cup with the chosen number on top! Lift the cup and reveal the remaining two dice, then smile at the stunned faces of your audience. Double Whammy comes complete with the dice and special gimmick. Any coffee cup can be used.

Sonic Silver [John Kennedy]

Those of you familiar with the great John Kennedy effect "Visible Coins To Glass" will appreciate the vastly improved gimmick and handling used in Sonic Silver. Display three half dollars, a coffee cup, and a BIC pen. Magician states "Watch closely," while holding one of the coins. Wave the pen over your hand and the coin disappears, then pick up the cup and suddenly there's a loud clink - the coin has mysteriously dropped inside! "A skeptic would think that I used sleight-of-hand while holding the cup, so this time I'll leave it on the table." Take the second coin and wave the pen over your hand. Again the coin vanishes, and again there is a loud clink inside the cup even though no one is anywhere near it! Dump out both coins, display them, then replace them inside. "A really persistent skeptic might think that I somehow tossed the coin into the cup, so this time I'll make it totally impossible." Use a deck of cards to cover the mouth of the cup so that nothing could possibly get inside. Take the last coin in your hand and slowly wave the pen, explaining, "It's going to happen on the count of three. One, two... three!" At that instant the coin vanishes from your hand and a loud clink is heard from inside the cup. You reach over, lift off the deck and dump all three coins from the cup, leaving your audience completely flabbergasted! Wait until you see how good this looks! And there's no reset - just toss the coins back into the cup and you're ready to go again. Place a small wooden box down on the table. A spectator freely chooses any card without looking at it or showing it to anyone. They sign the back of the card and then replaces it in the deck. You write something on a slip of paper, fold it, and place it down on the table. “Please cut the deck.” you instruct the spectator. “No one could have foreseen the current position of your card, right? Please read my prediction.” The prediction tells them how many cards to deal to arrive at their signed card! “You’re probably wondering about the small box I placed down earlier. There’s another prediction inside.” A folded paper is removed from the box with the name of a playing card written on it.
