Haunted Die [John Kennedy]
Six cards are removed from any deck of cards, then a spectator freely selects one card. The magician shuffles them and lays them down in a row. "Perhaps you're wondering why I'm using only six cards", says the magician. The magician reaches into their pocket and brings out a small cloth bag and explains, "The reason lies inside this small bag where I keep the HAUNTED DIE. The magician dumps a black die with white spots from the bag into a small glass and says "Please concentrate on your card and watch the die." While everyone is looking the die slowly turns over by itself revealing a particular number on top! The magician explains, "This means that your card must be in this location - counting to their card." Sure enough when they turn over the card, it is the chosen card!
